Since it has been a while since I updated my old Ellie website, let me tell you a little about Ellie now. She is 17 and a half months old. She is 32 inches tall and weighs about 24 lbs. She has light brown hair and brown eyes and a smile that can light up a room. No matter how tired you are or how frustrated you may be, her smile and hugs and kisses make everything better.
In January, I went back to work and CJ and I made the decision to start Ellie in daycare. It was a difficult decision because up until that point, she had pretty much spent her days with me. We were fearful of how she would adjust and react to being in such a new environment. Ellie, being the wonderful kid that she is, proved that our fears were unjustified. She absolutely thrives in her class. Her two teachers, Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Lorene, both commented on how quickly Ellie adapted to their schedule. She knows when snack and meal times are. She understands that after lunch is nap time and walks straight from her little table (she doesn't use a high chair there) and goes straight to her little cot and goes to sleep. She loves to go outside and run around with all her friends.
Ellie is doing great. She is doing great at daycare and she is doing great at home. She never ceases to amaze me with all of the new things that she does every day. This blog is set up to make updates on Ellie (and CJ and me, too). I promise to try and keep this one updated better than I did her old webpage!
