More From the party

Everyone had fun at the birthday party, including Daddy and Mr. Rusty! At the end of the afternoon, the birthday girl was pooped and didn't even make it home!

Ellie's Birthday

It is official--Ellie is 2 years old! We celebrated her 2nd birthday last Saturday at a party with all her friends. We went to a local children's museum, Playspace. It is a great little place that caters to kids Ellie's age. It has all sorts of cute little hands on exhibits for kids to play and use their imagination. There is a fire truck, a hospital, a grocery store, dress up, puppets and more. We rented out a room up front where we had pizza and cake and attempted to open gifts. The kids were more excited to go play than to watch someone else open presents, so after only a couple, we decided to let the kids go play. They had a blast!

After the party, we went home and celebrated some more with Grammie, Grandpa and Uncle Jake. We ate even more cake and had a great dinner. Ellie played her heart out all weekend long and finally on Sunday evening it caught up with her. She fell asleep at 645 and slept straight through the night. I don't think she has ever gone to bed that early!

CJ and I bought her a Disney Princess bike for her birthday. She tries really hard to push the pedals on her own, but hasn't grasped the concept quite yet. She still enjoys having Daddy push her on it, though!

All in all, Ellie's 2nd birthday was a fun occassion. I still got teary eyed, but not nearly as bad as I did last year when she turned one. She is certainly growing up fast!
