Where has the time gone??

I can not believe that once again I have waited so long between posts to my blog. So far, we have had a very busy 2008. Time has gone by so fast that Spring time is already here. I will try to be brief in recapping the past few months.

We went to Georgia for the Christmas holiday. Ellie and Max both had a great time visiting with their Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and cousins. We had another birthday party for Max at Pappaw's house. We got to celebrate with Pappaw, Aunt Judy, Uncle Chris and Aunt Ruby, and lots of cousins. We celebrated Christmas Eve with Great Mammaw Cathy and Larry and Great Aunt Donna. The kids had a great time meeting the new relatives and of course eating lots of great food. Ellie made cookies for Santa and was very happy to receive a thank you note from him when she woke up!

The kids have both been doing really well. Max is 15 months old now and is turning into such a little man. He has been learning sign language and can sign "thank you" and "more" and sometimes he signs "please. He also tries to do the sign for "I love you", but he can't quite move his fingers the right way. He does blow kisses though when he tries to do the sign so you can tell what he is doing. It's really sweet! He is also "talking" a lot more too. He can say Ellie, Mama, Dada (sometimes Daddy). He can also says, hi and hey, ball and yes. He points to what he wants, which is usually cookies. The boy has a sweet tooth! He goes to the doctor this week so I'm not sure how much he weighs, but I know there has been a definite weight gain since December (19 lbs then). He stopped nursing at the beginning of February and will now eat everything in sight. His current favorite foods are chicken, cheese and juice boxes. He loves to play, especially with Ellie. He follows her everywhere and tries to do whatever she does.
