Ellie's Birthday

So, my little girl turned 4 today. I can hardly believe it. I woke her up early this morning by singing "Happy Birthday". I had to stop in the middle because I started crying. I know, I'm such a sap! I can't help it. I have cried every year on her birthday and I will probably continue to do so.

She went to the doctor today for her check up. She weighs 47 lbs. (97th percentile) and she is 42 inches tall (90th percentile). The doctor looked back at her chart and said that she has always been in the 90th percentile range for her weight so she wasn't concerned at all. She is just a big girl who takes after her Daddy's side of the family.

We had fun making her birthday cake today. She went to the store and she picked it out herself. Strawberry flavored cake (because it was pink) and chocolate funfetti icing. She loved it! It was a great 4th birthday!!

Happy Birthday, Ellie Belly!!! I love you!!!

Daddy surprised her tonight by bringing home balloons and a special prize--a Barbie and the Diamond Castle laptop computer game. It is her own personal computer now that teaches her letters, shapes, numbers and other preschool concepts. She was very excited and had lots of fun playing together with Daddy.

Ellie's Birthday Lunch

CJ asked Ellie where she wanted to go for lunch on her birthday. She said, "the restaurant with the pigs and horses" AKA The Farmer's Market Restaurant. After she finished eating, she started to sing, "Happy Birthday to Me". Silly girl!

The Science Museum

We took the kids to the Science Museum over the weekend. They had a lot of fun. Their were fossils of dinosaurs and whales and other large sea animals. They got to pet turtles and had a lot of fun in the Discovery Room. Who ever knew that learning could be so much fun?

Ellie's School Party

I absolutley loved going to Ellie's school for her school party. Since it is a Jewish school, we were not allowed to bring in cupcakes from home because they would not have been Kosher. Instead, her class made them in school and they each decorated their own cupcake. Ellie shared her photo album of baby pictures with her friends and they all sang "Happy Birthday" to her in English and in Hebrew. She had so much fun and I had so much fun with her.

More Dance Pictures

As I mentioned in a previous post, Ellie started dance class in September. She LOVES it!! She is taking Ballet and Tap and is slowly learning all of the dance steps. I am so excited that she will actually have a recital in the Spring.

Ellie's 4 Year Old Pictures

I took Ellie and Max to have their pictures taken for Ellie's 4 year old pictures. I can not believe that she will be 4 next week! Both kids had a lot of fun with the pictures and the photographer. I wish I could get them to pose like this for me!
