Hailey's Birthday Party
While we were in Florida, we were lucky enough to be able to attend Hailey's 4th birthday party. Hailey's Mom, Jacki, and I. have been best friends since we were in middle school. Our girls get along so great, its a shame they live so far apart. We all had fun, though, spending the day together and celebrating with Hailey
Ellie loves taking pictures of me and Max.The birthday girl!

Disney World 2009
Call us crazy, but we another trip to Disney World this year. After last year's trip was completely rained out by Tropical Storm Faye, we said we would go back. Since Disney World was offering a spectacular special for Active Duty Military and their family, we decided to go back this summer. So, we spent our 4th of July holiday in Orlando at Disney World.
About 2 weeks before the trip, Max decided he didn't want to wear diapers anymore. I was nervous about taking a newly potty trained little boy to Disney World in underpants, but he did great. He told us every time he had to go potty! Once again, my little guy has impressed me.
Ellie and Max both had a great time. Every night before she went to bed, Ellie thanked me for "the best day ever!"

First day at Disney
We arrived at Disney World on July 1. After checking into the Caribbean Beach Resort hotel, we explored the grounds and our really cool Pirate themed room. Then we drove over to Downtown Disney and met some of my old friends for dinner. Ellie had a blast with Ricki's triplets. In fact, she talked about her new "big" friends (the triplets are 12) off and on during our whole trip! We got to eat at Planet Hollywood, explore the Lego store and the World of Disney store. Ellie had fun with line dancing during a show out there. It was a fun way to start off our vacation.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Ellie's big souviner this trip was getting her hair, makeup and nails done at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique inside Cinerella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom. The whole process takes about 45 minutes and ALOT of hair gel and hair spray and of course, pixie dust. Ellie had her very own Fairy Godmother in Training to do her makeover. She sat in the chair very quietly and in complete awe during the whole thing. Her hair stayed up for about 4 hours before it started to fall. We went back in and they graciously fixed it for her again. This time it stayed up the rest of the day. Even after the top part fell, her high ponytail stayed all the next day too which was great in the Florida heat. She was excited because she got to keep the jeweled tiara, the jeweled Mickey barrette for her hair and the nail polish and make up that they used on her. Every night before dinner, she wanted to do her make up.
Hair and Nails!
What a little diva! Ellie had her hair and nails done at the same time!
You can't really tell, but her nails are pink and sparkly! She actually got to bring the polish home with her. She really liked that!
Picking out her make up colors.

If you look closely, Ellie's hair is sticking straight up in the air. She got a kick out of that!
Almost done!
Lots and lots of hairspray!
