Saying Goodbye to the McLambs

One of the hardest parts of moving is saying goodbye to friends. Ellie and Max and I had so much fun (as hard as it was to say goodbye) with Mrs. Robyn, Mr. Rusty, Turner and Ashleigh before we left. There is nothing more the kids love more than pizza and cupcakes! The kids had so much fun performing, playing dress up and just being together!

Grandpa

Grandpa was wonderful during his visit. He was such a great help when we moved in and the kids had a blast with him. He helped turn the moving boxes into forts. They loved it!

OHenry Hotel

While in Greensboro, I took Ellie and Max to the OHenry Hotel. This was the garden where CJ and I got married.

Broken Arm

A move is stressful. A move on your own is more stressful. Your child breaking her arm in the middle of it all tops the cake! We were in Greensboro staying a few days with Grammie and Grandpa. We had already left Clayton and were getting ready to drive to Virginia. Ellie was running in Grammie's kitchen and slipped on some water from the dog bowl. She banged her elbow on the wall and cracked it! Poor kid. She was so brave though. Even though it hurt, she loved seeing the pictures of her bones (xrays). She liked that she had a blue sling, just like Daddy. And when it was time to get her cast she chose her most favorite color...pink!!

A waterproof cast! Awesome...no more grocery bags to cover her arm in the bathtub!

Kindergarten Orientation

Can you believe it? My little girl is starting Kindergarten! Right after we moved in...literally, the very next day...was Ellie's Kindergarten orientation. We got to meet her teacher, Mrs. Arseneau and learn all about her school day. She will attend morning Kindergarten. She will eat breakfast in the cafeteria instead of lunch. She will get to ride the bus. She is so excited!!

Sitting in her classroom, listening to her teacher explain the classroom rules.
Ellie is so excited about riding the bus to school. They gave all the Kindergarteners a practice bus ride around the block at orientation. Her biggest concern? How will she get her car seat on the bus!

Rolling down the Hill

One of the many fun things about our new house, is the hill in the back yard. Just beyond our fence is a small hill that Max and Ellie (and Lexie too) love to play on. They spent 30 minutes rolling down the hill and hiding on either side of it trying to scare one another!

Rainy Day Fun

Max's new fascination is with puzzles. He's really good at them. Last Saturday was pretty rainy, so Max and Ellie decided to pull out some puzzles. All of them actually. He did one and then moved on to the next. After about an hour he had five puzzles put together.

Lexie

This is Lexie's new favorite nap place...Ellie's princess couch! After everyone goes to sleep, she sneaks off quietly and when I go check on her, this is where I find her. I feel so badly waking her up to put her in her crate, but she goes on her own. What a great pup!
