Ellie's dress rehearsal was a great opportunity for Ellie to practice dancing on stage in front of an audience. She did really well...even when she lost a shoe during her tap dance to "Pretty Woman". Her ballet dance was to "You are My Sunshine." My good friend, Krissi, video taped the performances and you can follow the links to see our girls dance.
I would love to know what Ellie and Lily are talking about here.Saturday, May 29, 2010

Lexie
Muffins for Mom
The Mother's Day progam at Ellie's school is called Muffins for Mom. The kids, including Max, made me some very special gifts. Ellie and Max both made me pictures containing secret messages. I had to paint them in order to read my message. Ellie drew a great picture of me and wrote her own reason for why I'm so special. Can you read it? I could...I was so proud of her!!
Mother's Day
A Picnic
The kids and I had a picnic the other day at this great little pond behind our local library. We had a good time walking the trails, looking at all the ducks and birds. Ellie took the opportunity to talk to me about Spring. She showed me how the leaves on the trees were all growing back and how everything was turning green. She was so proud of herself with all of the facts that she was sharing with me.
Playing With the New Camera
So, I haven't updated in a while because things have been very busy around here. Somewhere along the way, I lost my camera! It was very upsetting because there were pictures on there that I hadn't taken off yet. After several weeks of camera withdrawl (you know me....I love taking pictures of my family), I decided to buy another one with the money I made from my short term, part time job at Gymboree. I only worked there for a few weeks (the schedule didn't work out very well), but I made enough to buy my new camera. Yay!!
