The Zoo

After a very cold Winter, we decided to enjoy one of the first warm days of Spring by going to the zoo. The zoo in Norfolk isn't very big, but it is very close and the kids had so much fun seeing the animals so close. We can't wait to go back soon when they open up the new tiger exhibit.

My favorite animals at the zoo!

Bowling Fun

Ellie and Max love going bowling. They are both really good at playing it on the Kinect, but think the real thing is just as fun even though it is much harder.

Nauticus and The Battleship Wisconsin

While visiting with Grandpa and Uncle Marcus, we took them to the Nauticus museum and the Battleship Wisconsin. Max and Ellie had a great time learning about the big ship and trying to imagine Daddy on what a lot like it.

Look! Ellie is a recruiter just like Daddy!!

New Years Eve Fun

We spent New Years Eve at home this year with Uncle Marcus. Who would have thought playing Jenga, watching TV and just being plain old silly would end up being such a great night!

Max turns 4!!!

What is turning 4 without a birthday cake? Max picked this silly monster cake out at the bakery. It was mostly icing...his favorite part of any cake! He chose Red Robin for dinner. In fact, he sang the song..."Red Robin..Yum!" And of course was spoiled rotten with gifts. Just like his sister, his favorite birthday present was a brand new DS.
