The Zoo

One of the cool things about living in Virginia Beach is all the access to the fun places around here. We live 15 minutes from the Norfolk Zoo so we decided to get a family membership. The kids and I have been taking full advantage of our the membership and have visited the zoo several times.

Dancing at Festhaus

Festhaus is a German restaurant inside Busch Gardens that features delicious food and German dancing and musical entertainment. While we were there, Ellie and Max enjoyed listening to the music and even participating in some of the dancing.

These entertainers look kind of scary in this picture. They are actually teaching the audience how to do the Chicken Dance.

And the dancing continues outside the Festhaus restaurant.

Hip Hop Harry

Hip Hop Harry is a children's television program that features a singing, rapping, dancing bear to teach kids about all sorts of stuff from the colors of the rainbow, to brushing your teeth or how to treat your friends. Ellie and Max have never expressed any interest in watching this show. However, Hip Harry was performing live on stage at Busch Gardens this weekend and we were able to catch his show. Ellie and Max were both hand picked to dance on stage with Harry and his friends and to meet and take pictures with him after the show. They loved it!!
