Ellie's eyes

Ellie had to go in for eye surgery not too long ago. Her glasses weren't helping her eyes straighten out, so her doctor recommended eye muscle surgery to help turn her eye in the right direction. She was such a little trooper and did fantastic through the whole procedure. They had to put her under which was very hard to watch, but she refused to go back with the doctors so I had to be there. It was the longest few seconds of my life! Coming out of the anesthesia was also hard because she came out of it in jolt. She tried ripping out her IV needles and monitor patches so they had to give her a sedative. However, once we were home she did great. She didn't even try to rip off her eye patch and never put her hands in her eye throughout the entire recovery time.

Now, several weeks later, her eye is totally healed and straight. Her doctor is still slightly concerned that because her left eye is a little weaker than her right that she might start turning it in again, but he so far he is optimistic of the future.
