On our trip to the beach this weekend we decided to stop in Wilmington to see the USS North Carolina. We were lucky enough to go on Pearl Harbor day and participate in a special commemoration ceremony and see parts of the ship that were normally closed off to visitors.hat Being on the ship was a lot of fun and brought back a lot of memories for CJ from his life on the USS Gettysburg. He enjoyed telling the kids all about the ship and telling them what life was like for him. Ellie thought a lot of it was silly--like calling the bathroom the head or the bed a rack. She kept saying, "Daddy did that??"

Oh yeah the Battleship! I love that place...my parents used to take us every year as kids. I want to take Brandon so bad! Glad you guys had fun!
