Spring

Spring is finally here and Ellie and Max have been enjoying it alot. We have been playing outside for 2 days straight! The weather has been a little cool, but the sunshine was too pretty not to enjoy it.

The Dentist

Woohoo! Ellie had her first dentist appointment last week. She did awesome! She was nervous about going at first so I made the appointment at the office where our neighbor, Mrs. Robyn, works. Ellie felt a lot better knowing that Mrs. Robyn could walk with her back there even though I could not. Parents are not allowed back with the kids. Did I mention Ellie was an awesome, big, brave girl! She gave me a hug, grabbed her blanket (in case she was scared) and took Robyn's hand. Ellie did everything she was told to do. They brushed her teeth with flouride, checked for cavities (there were none!), etc. The only thing Ellie did not want to do was the suction. So, instead she "swished and spit" (those were Ellie's exact words accompanied by a demonstration). I am so proud of her. She received treasures from the treasure box at the dentist office and even a special prize from me when we got home. Did I mention how awesome she was???

I had some great pictures to post of the experience, courtesy of Mrs. Robyn, but they accidently got deleted from the camera. They were really cute of her sitting in the dentist's chair with a big smile showing off her new clean teeth!

Snow in March

Last week, I thought Spring was here. Today, I woke up to this. It is beautiful, but I don't think I like snow in March.

Spring is Here?

Last Thursday the weather was BEAUTIFUL, so I took the kids to the park. I thought for sure that Spring was here. It was sunny, there were no clouds. We played outside for 3 hours! On Monday (see above pictures) it was snowing.

Ellie the photographer

This is my new favorite picture of Max. Ellie took it. She really is a good little photographer. I am thinking of getting her a camera of her own. She had one of those kids cameras that you could throw down on the floor and its not supposed to break. Well, its broken. I don't think it is broken because of anything Ellie did to the camera. She never threwanks it or even dropped it. It just stopped working. We changed the batteries and it wouldn't come back on. It was old though. She received it as a gift after her eye surgery two years ago.

So now I think I may get her a regular, inexpensive digital camera...not necessarily the toddler/kids one. I think she would do well with it. She loves my camera and follows the rules very well. She always has the strap around her neck so it doesn't fall and she almost always asks permission before using it.

(Thanks Uncle Marcus for telling me to clarify this post. I re-read it and you were right for once...the logic did not sound right.)
