Well, we arrived in Jacksonville, Florida Friday morning at 430 am. We snuck into Uncle Marcus's apartment very quietly and went to sleep on the sleeping bags he left out for us. After a slow morning, we went to lunch at a local BBQ restaurant (YUM!) and then went over to the NEX (Navy Exchange). CJ really misses living close to an Exchange and the opportunity to get a true military hair cut. While we were at Naval Station Mayport, CJ drove us around to where the boats are docked and showed Ellie and Max the USS Gettysburg, the ship he was stationed on for 4 years. We also took the opportunity to bring Ellie and Max over to the beach. They loved it! We will definitely have to go back while we are here so the kids can really play in the water.
